Tree Maintenance

Unlike the hair on our scalp, each cut on the tree is a scar it has to bear for a lifetime, often with detrimental consequences of introducing decay into the tree. ASA sticks by our principle of not topping trees and adhere to international ANSI-A300 pruning standards.

Formative Pruning

Pruning of young trees to guide their growth for more ideal structural development so they may develop into stronger and healthier trees, while respecting each variety’s natural growth habit.

Deadwooding

Removing of dead, diseased and dying limbs and branches from tree for safety and aesthetic purpose

Crown Reduction, Thinning

Overgrown tree may create undue stress on the structural integrity of the tree, especially older and bigger ones, and lead to branch snapping and uneven load, and eventual tree failure. Disturbance to the tree’s environment such as removal of a nearby tree which may expose the target tree to greater wind load, can also necessitate such pruning to reduce likelihood of failure.

Confined Space Rigging

Trees may be located where access via crane (and bucket) proved difficult. Our technical climbers are trained to access the trees using manual climbing and perform work with rigging to avoid damages to property.

Pests and Diseases Treatment

Analysis and treatment of tree-related pests and diseases such as termites, weevils, fusarium wilt, bagworm and general plant health care improvement.

Soil Treatment

Treatments include air spading services to loosen up compacted soil; re-mulching to introduce more organic material into the soilmix for better plant growth.
