Removal Of Support System For Striving Tree
Feasibility study is performed to assess suitability of trees for transplanting in consideration of factors such as tree’s health, site accessibility, logistics and utilities. Recommendations are made for choice of machinery, transplanting method, support system implementation, subsequent maintenance, taking into account how the finished product will fit in with the design intent of the architect.
Prescribed treatments such as trenching and pre-watering regime prepare the tree to ensure a high transplantation success rate. Actual mobilisation of the tree takes place and at least six months of monitoring will follow after. When the tree is well established in its new environment, the support system will be removed to allow the tree to strive on its own.
